What are the responsibilities and job description for the ($1,500 sign on bonus) Journeyman Electrician position at Reliable Electric?
THE OPPORTUNITY
Most electrical contractors will hire you. Reliable Electric will invest in you.
We’ve been part of the Dayton community for over 80 years — not because we’re the biggest shop in town, but because we build careers, not just crews. We were named a Dayton Business Journal Best Place to Work in both 2021 and 2025, and Family-Owned Business of the Year. Those aren’t marketing lines. They’re what happens when you actually treat people right.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You’ll work on real commercial construction projects across the Dayton and Cincinnati area — conduit, wiring, panels, blueprints, training apprentices, assist in layout of projects, and hands-on trade work alongside folks who are invested in your growth. No busywork. You’ll be on meaningful jobs from day one.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
- 80 years of steady work — we don’t boom and bust. When other shops slow down, we keep our people busy.
- Merit-based advancement — your raise is based on what you learn and how you perform, not how long you’ve waited in line.
- We develop apprentices — our co-op and apprentice program actively grows young tradespeople. If you’re hungry to learn, we’re ready to teach.
- Community rooted — we’re not a faceless national contractor. We live here, give back here, and our leadership knows your name.
