JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for roughly 400 employees. This position offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to expand into broader accounting leadership, including oversight of payroll, accounts payable, and other key accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage full-cycle in-house payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strict confidentiality of all employee and company data.
- Analyze, validate, and process payroll changes including bonuses, leave of absences, garnishments, and various payroll deductions, etc.
- Prepare, audit, and submit certified payroll reports to ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements while also managing the setup/maintenance within the accounting system.
- Process weekly and quarterly payroll tax filings, 401(k) contributions, and year-end W-2 reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of in-house payroll processing experience; construction industry experience a plus.
- Certified payroll experience required.
- Degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- High level of integrity and dependability.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communicator and collaborative team player with strong organizational skills.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
