What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder Fabricator position at RELIABLE BOAT DOCK SERVICE?
Reliable Boat Dock Service has been servicing Lake Travis and surrounding lakes for many years and we are looking to expand our team to keep up with the demand.
We are looking for all skill levels from someone able to sweep the floor to a full scale welder fabricator with a full knowledge of mig, pulse mig, flux core, tig and stick welding.
Depending on which position you're applying for, you could be doing:
- Reading, interpreting and following basic blueprints to accurately create products
- Ensuring measurements are accurate
- Ensuring measured cuts are accurate
- Tack Welding parts according to assembly guides or prints.
- Laying out, aligning, and fitting together fabricated and machined parts.
- Grinding parts as needed
- Produce clean, polished welds
- Adjusting/Verifying settings as indicated
- Utilizing handheld tools
- Performing all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Prioritizing workflow through effective communication with management staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Operating fork trucks, pallet trucks, Tylor or small fork trucks as needed
- Quality Control
HOURS ARE:
Monday - Friday
6am to 4:30pm.
Here at Reliable Boat Dock Service we have multiple different crews running. One is the shop crew where you will be working in our spacious shop full time building things like box truss frames, straight staircases, spiral staircases, handrail designs and custom brackets. We have a fast paced fun and friendly work environment. We are not looking nor is there enough time in the day to baby sit grown men/women. Putting in quality work in a timely manner consistently and you will be rewarded in return.
Mig welding and fabrication experience is required.
***Welder position, expect a weld test upon application so be prepared with welding gear aka hood, gloves sleeves as necessary.
PAY RATE:
Pay rate will depend upon your experience as well as your welding test. Starting rate is $18 and will go up to $23.00. You are not capped at what you start at. Reviews are conducted after 30 days of employment and then again after 60 days of employment. It will then go to yearly reviews.
