- Monitor security events, alerts, and indicators of compromise using SIEM tools and dashboards
- Conduct initial triage, correlation, and escalation of security incidents and anomalies
- Support incident response and resolution in coordination with cybersecurity leads and CMS stakeholders
- Perform log and network traffic analysis to identify unusual behavior or threat activity
- Document incident findings and create after-action reports aligned with CMS and FISMA reporting requirements
- Collaborate with CDM, PAM, and threat intelligence teams to enhance alerting and detection rules
- Ensure alignment with CMS ARS 5.0, NIST 800-53 controls, and SOC operating procedures
- Maintain awareness of current threats and vulnerabilities impacting federal healthcare infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity operations, or threat monitoring environment
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and security monitoring tools
- Understanding of incident response procedures, log analysis, and attack indicators
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, and ARS 5.0 compliance frameworks
- Strong written documentation and communication skills
- Experience supporting CMS, HHS, or federal cybersecurity programs
- Certifications such as Security , CySA , CEH, or GCIA
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and CDM integration
- Experience with incident ticketing systems and security playbooks
- Exposure to network, host, and application-level monitoring solutions

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $150,000.00. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
