This is a full-time, on-site Technical Writer role located in Mountain View, CA, with a work schedule of 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities
The Technical Writer will primarily focus on documentation related to robotics, QA testing, R&D Software Testing, data collection, and safety. Specific duties include:
- Authoring New Documentation
- Writing new technical documentation for robotics operations in a laboratory environment, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), setup guides, troubleshooting guides, and manuals.
- Gathering information from key mechatronics engineers and lab managers.
- Producing flowcharts to be used as figures in documents.
- Composing and editing technical information for research launches, working with researchers and using an in-house publication workflow.
- Documentation Management & Control
- Maintaining control of all documentation forms across the robotics organization.
- Reviewing and updating existing documentation periodically, incorporating edits, and soliciting stakeholder reviews.
- Developing and maintaining a documentation numbering and classification system.
- Creating and maintaining documentation templates for SOPs, maintenance manuals, test set ups, and safety.
- Publication & Web Content
- Working with researchers to edit technical publications for industry submissions, ensuring readability and correct formatting.
- Updating content on the organization’s website, which includes generating text and diagrams.
Qualifications
- Required Skills: Technical Communication, Technical Writing, experience in creating documentation and manuals, strong attention to detail, knowledge of documentation best practices and tools, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred (A Plus): Experience in QA testing, R&D Software Testing, or robotics.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $80,000 to $115,000.
