Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Supervisee in Social Work or Resident in Counseling who is passionate about providing ethical, faith-integrated therapy. If you’re grounded in your calling, committed to clinical growth, and ready to work in a stable and Spirit-led environment—this role may be for you.
For Supervisees / Residents:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program
- Active registration as a Supervisee in Social Work or Resident in Counseling with the Virginia Board
- Commitment to weekly clinical supervision toward licensure
All Candidates Must:
- Be comfortable integrating Christian faith into therapy when appropriate
- Possess strong clinical skills with a commitment to ethical, evidence-based practices
- Work within structured Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM office hours for in person days (Evenings and weekends available for virtual days ONLY)
- Be proficient with EHR systems and timely documentation: Simple Practice
- Note: Although we welcome Residents in Counseling, our agency is operated under an LCSW license, which requires us to fully adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics and social work principles. All staff must follow these ethical standards when providing psychotherapy services within the agency.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy sessions (in-office and telehealth)
- All telehealth sessions are to be conducted in-office initially for billing integrity and accountability, required during 90 day probationary period.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our EHR
- Participate in regular case consults and professional development
- Engage in team culture, spiritual growth, and mentorship

Compensation Model: W-2 Fee-for-Service Model
This position follows a W-2 Fee-for-Service Model, a tiered, productivity-based structure commonly used in clinical settings. Therapists are paid per completed session, with opportunities to earn increased rates based on consistent caseload performance and clinical excellence.
This model includes:
- Tiered session pay that increases as session volume milestones are met
- Bonuses for maintaining or exceeding caseload expectations
- Paid documentation time is included per session but is limited and defined by agency policy
This structure ensures fair, ethical compensation while promoting high-quality, consistent care within a spiritually grounded and clinically structured workplace.
Additional Info
Telehealth and In Office Policy
During the 90-day probationary period, all sessions (including telehealth) must be conducted in-office at our Chester location. This ensures consistent supervision, billing integrity, and alignment with agency standards. After this period, hybrid flexibility may be granted based on performance, professionalism, and documentation compliance.
Ethics Statement:
Release It Counseling operates under an LCSW license and follows the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics. All clinicians, regardless of licensure path, must uphold social work ethical standards when delivering psychotherapy services within our practice.
