What are the responsibilities and job description for the UX Researcher position at Releady?
OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced Mixed Methods Researcher who can own the full research lifecycle — from strategy through execution — across discovery, innovation, and early-stage concept work. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with qualitative and quantitative approaches and has a proven ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces in service of high-stakes decisions.
Rate: $60-$64 / hour USD
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and execute integrated research strategies that span generative, exploratory, and evaluative methods, tailored to the stage and risk level of each initiative
- Lead discovery work on emerging or undefined problem areas — surfacing unmet needs, forming hypotheses, and identifying opportunity spaces
- Develop well-scoped research plans with clear objectives, methodology, sampling rationale, and defined success metrics, while maintaining pace in fast-moving environments
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into compelling, decision-ready insights for cross-functional partners across Design, Product, and Sales
- Work closely with business, product, and design stakeholders to define the right research questions and present findings accessibly across technical and non-technical audiences
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy — proactively spotting gaps, scoping the work, and moving it forward independently
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Hands-on experience with user testing and participant recruitment platforms
- Comfort running both moderated and unmoderated research studies
- Proficiency with qualitative synthesis and analysis tools
- Working knowledge of survey design and quantitative research platforms
Nice to Have
- Background in financial services or banking
- Experience collaborating with Design Systems teams on usability and visual consistency evaluation
- Familiarity with mobile UX patterns, accessibility standards, and platform conventions
- Ability to assess how visual and brand design choices affect user trust, clarity, and emotional response — particularly in regulated or high-stakes product contexts
