- Location: Hybrid, 2x a week in office, but must reside in California
- Rate: $60/hr - $90/hr DOE

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines and application workloads from development through production using cloud-native architectures.

Develop efficient, cost-effective implementations by leveraging reusable components, automation, and modern frameworks.

Implement and enforce DevSecOps best practices across CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud delivery workflows.

Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible to support repeatable, secure deployments.

Drive operational excellence, including incident management, root cause analysis, and process automation leveraging AI-enabled capabilities.

Monitor and manage software configuration changes to proactively address data reliability, performance, and customer experience issues.

Apply AI across development, testing, and deployment stages to improve quality, reduce operational overhead, and drive innovation.

Coordinate sustaining support for multiple application platforms or business processes, ensuring seamless integration and stability in cloud environments.

Support monitoring, tuning, and optimization of application and data pipeline performance to ensure availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.

Execute analysis and remediation of issues related to technology, process gaps, or resource constraints.

Work within an Agile / DevSecOps pod model alongside solution leads, data modelers, analysts, and business partners.

Provide technical expertise to translate complex functional requirements into secure, scalable technical designs.

Ensure adherence to enterprise security, data governance, and production certification standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

5 years of experience in enterprise application support and cloud-based solution delivery.

Strong hands-on experience in system design, coding, integration, and deployment on Windows and/or Linux platforms.

Expertise with cloud platforms, preferably Azure (AWS or GCP acceptable), including services such as ADLS, Synapse, and Data Factory.

Proficiency in SQL and Python, with strong scripting and automation capabilities.

Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Snowflake or Databricks, BigQuery, and orchestration tools like Airflow or Tidal.

Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including Data Vault 2.0, data integration, data architecture, warehousing, and data quality frameworks.

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Bitbucket.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible).

Experience with data quality, governance, and cataloging tools such as Collibra.

Proven ability to implement testing frameworks and validation processes for data pipelines and applications.

Working knowledge of networking and security protocols (LDAP, Active Directory) and API integrations.

Strong Unix/Linux command-line skills and shell scripting experience.

Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and enterprise cloud integration patterns.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
