We are looking for an early-career Associate Network Infrastructure Engineer to support the planning, implementation, maintenance, and coordination of structured cabling, telecommunications, and network infrastructure within a large enterprise environment.
This is a developmental engineering opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation who is interested in building expertise in network and telecommunications infrastructure. The role will work closely with experienced engineers, vendors, contractors, facilities teams, and internal stakeholders while gaining exposure to structured cabling systems, low-voltage infrastructure, construction projects, project coordination, and quality assurance.
Direct experience in this exact discipline is not required. We are looking for someone who is technically capable, motivated to learn, takes initiative, and is interested in developing into a more independent infrastructure engineer over time.
- Support senior engineers with structured cabling, telecommunications, and network infrastructure projects.
- Assist with the implementation and coordination of structured cabling and other low-voltage infrastructure.
- Participate in site walks and review installation and construction progress.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, facilities teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with evaluating infrastructure requests, equipment needs, feasibility, and costs.
- Maintain technical documentation, project records, and infrastructure information.
- Support cost estimating, planning, and quality assurance activities.
- Gain exposure to network infrastructure technologies and assist with solutions under senior guidance.
- 1 years of technical background through education, internships, certifications, coursework, or hands-on experience in networking, telecommunications, engineering, IT, low-voltage systems, electronics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with structured cabling, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or related technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow work through completion.
- Comfortable maintaining technical documentation and project records.
- Motivated to learn and develop within a network infrastructure engineering environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Coursework, internship, or experience involving structured cabling, network infrastructure, or low-voltage systems.
- Familiarity with fiber, copper cabling, telecommunications rooms, pathways, or physical network infrastructure.
- Exposure to construction projects, site walks, technical drawings, or project coordination.
- Exposure to LAN, WAN, VoIP, wireless, audiovisual, or security infrastructure.
- BICSI Installer, BICSI Technician, BICSI OSP, or similar certification.
- Experience in a large enterprise or multi-site environment.
