The Job

Production Technician

We’re looking for an energetic and motivated teammate to provide labor and customer support in the completion of production activities such as kitting, product assembly, rework, packaging, and other tasks as requested by SCS commercial and government customers.

What you’ll do

  • Working hours will be Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM
  • Location will be Relay Resources Main Campus (Portland, OR)
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure customer specifications are met on assigned work, as outlined in customer service agreements
  • Strives to perform all assigned work efficiently and on-time, using quality control best practices
  • Perform specific tasks such as packaging, wrapping, product assembly, product rework, soldering, labeling, and other production tasks as requested by SCS customers
  • Ability to assist with pre-production setup and support production efficiencies
  • Use a forklift, pallet jack, and other machinery needed to complete production tasks as needed
  • Navigate and understand inventory counting, quality controls, restocking of materials, preparation for shipping, and communication of discrepancies to the team supervisor

Safety

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with current Relay safety policies and guidelines
  • Ensure safety by wearing protective equipment in the warehouse and when operating machinery
  • Support and practice daily safety standards throughout the Supply Chain Solutions enterprise

  • A can-do attitude and team spirit!
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to write and read simple instructions and short correspondence
  • Six months production experience
  • Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform a variety of manual activities
  • Ability to interact with diverse work force
  • Fork lift certification a plus
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and/or fingerprinting as appropriate at any time during employment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and independent decision making
  • Able to routinely lift, carry and stack up to 30 pounds
  • Able to walk or stand 75% of the time

COVID Vaccination Requirements

Where permitted by applicable law, you must be fully vaccinated or exempted by an approved medical or religious exemption request by your start date (first day reporting to work) to be considered for employment. If you're covered by a medical or religious exemption, please ask for the appropriate exception form during your interview process. Fully vaccinated is defined by two weeks following an initial 2-dose (Pfizer(BioNTech)/Moderna) or 1-dose (Janssen-Johnson & Johnson) administered vaccine.
