Relay Recruiting is proud to partner with a well-established nonprofit senior care and human services organization in the Rochester community, seeking an Annual Giving Manager to build and run a comprehensive annual giving program that grows donor participation and deepens relationships with a loyal donor base.

The Opportunity

The Annual Giving Manager will own the full annual giving program, from direct mail and digital appeals to giving societies and lower- to mid-level donor stewardship. Reporting to the Foundation's Executive Director and working closely with the Director of Major Gifts, Finance, and an outside direct mail partner, this person will be the team's process and data anchor: managing the donor database, coordinating appeal timelines, and making sure gifts are processed accurately and donors are thanked promptly. This is a role for someone who's equal parts organized and personable, comfortable owning complex donor data and mailing lists while also picking up the phone to thank a donor or build a relationship with a corporate partner. It's a chance to bring structure and creativity to a growing annual fund program, with real visibility and a direct line to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Executive Director, design, execute, and evaluate a full-cycle annual giving program to grow participation and revenue from individual donors.
• Own a portfolio of roughly 400 lower- to mid-level donors and prospects, managing the full cycle of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Coordinate multi-channel direct mail and digital fundraising appeals, partnering with an outside database and direct mail vendor to manage complex, multi-list segmentation and data hygiene.
• Develop and run the Foundation's giving society program, including stewardship touchpoints like donor profiles, videos, and web content.
• Manage the donor database and gift processing, working closely with Finance and outside partners on gifts involving donor-advised funds and other complex giving vehicles.
• Own the annual giving calendar, proactively flagging appeal timelines and keeping the team ahead of key dates.
• Draft and help produce donor communications and appeals, partnering with the Executive Director and Director of Major Gifts on messaging.
• Identify donors ready to move into the major gift pipeline, and support grant proposals to family foundations and corporations as needed.
• Represent the Foundation with corporate partners and sponsors, including supporting the organization's annual golf tournament.
• Analyze giving trends and program results to guide strategy and improve donor retention.

What We're Looking For

• 2 years of fundraising experience, including donor solicitation, cultivation, or stewardship.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong data and process skills, comfortable owning a donor database and managing complex mailing lists.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write compelling donor appeals, acknowledgments, and stewardship content.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and follow-through with donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge or a similar donor database preferred.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Prior professional writing experience.
• Experience integrating social media or digital tools into fundraising campaigns.
• Familiarity with donor-advised funds, community foundations, or complex gift processing.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary $62K–$68K, commensurate with experience
• Generous PTO package
