- Control access for all employees, visitors, carriers, and contractors entering or exiting the facility and yard
- Verify inbound and outbound shipments using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or AS400 platforms
- Conduct security inspections of vehicles, cargo, and personnel to prevent theft or unauthorized access
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload operations and documentation checks
- Support order fulfillment by coordinating with warehouse staff for picking & packing, order picking, and stock replenishment
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts when necessary to move freight safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of all gate activities, inbound/outbound logs, and incident reports
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution environments
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating reach trucks or pallet jacks
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400
- Strong basic math skills for inventory counting and shipment verification
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, and stock management
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods; physically capable of handling freight as needed
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and external carriers
