Field Installation Manager – Commercial Doors
Location: Roseville, CA / Greater Sacramento Area
Work Arrangement: On-site / Field-based
Schedule: Full-time | Primarily weekdays with occasional on-call support
Relationship First Recruiting is supporting a search for a Field Installation Manager to lead and support high-volume commercial door and gate service operations in the Greater Sacramento area.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, field-driven, and comfortable managing moving parts in real time. The right candidate will bring strong commercial door and gate service experience, the ability to troubleshoot in the field, run estimates, coordinate crews, and keep jobs moving with customers, vendors, technicians, and leadership.
This is a newly created role designed to improve field efficiency, support growing service demand, and create stronger day-to-day operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations across multiple active service jobs
- Troubleshoot issues in the field and support technicians remotely by phone
- Run service estimates and define job scope
- Coordinate and schedule installation and service crews
- Source parts, materials, and equipment needed for repairs and installs
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards
- Communicate with customers, vendors, technicians, and internal teams
- Support safety and industry compliance standards
- Partner closely with leadership during a structured training period
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in commercial door and gate service or installation
- Experience with automatic doors, storefront doors, hollow metal doors, solid core/wood doors, overhead doors, dock equipment, gates, or gate operators
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose service issues in the field
- Experience running estimates and coordinating service work
- Ability to manage multiple jobs, crews, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Preferred Background
- Prior leadership or crew supervision experience
- Broad experience across multiple door and gate systems
- Knowledge of safety, ADA, fire code, or related compliance standards
Additional Details
