Relate Search has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the paper packaging industry to find a strategic, hands-on Senior Director of IT. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a future-ready IT function that supports digital transformation across a high-growth, innovation-driven environment. Reporting to the VP of Strategy and Operations, the Senior Director will oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and service delivery—while helping shape a long-term roadmap to enable automation, data-driven decision-making, and scalable growth. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a blend of technical depth, business acumen, and the ability to lead through transformation.
*This is a local/hybrid role. Must live within a drivable commute or be open to relocate to Central California.
Responsibilities:
- • Define and execute a multi-year IT roadmap aligned with business goals and growth initiatives.
- • Lead enterprise initiatives in ERP modernization, supply chain digitization, and factory floor automation.
- • Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, service desk, and business systems across all sites.
- • Partner cross-functionally with business leaders to identify high-impact technology opportunities.
- • Build and lead a high-performing IT team using hybrid internal and external talent models.
- • Establish governance for cybersecurity, data privacy, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- • Champion innovation by identifying and integrating emerging technologies such as AI and IoT.
- • Lead by example with hands-on involvement in key systems, infrastructure, or integration projects.
- • Drive continuous improvement and implement scalable, cost-efficient service delivery models.
Qualifications:
- • 10 years of progressive IT leadership, with 5 years in a senior management role.
- • Experience aligning IT with business strategy in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- • Strong knowledge of ERP, MES, WMS, infrastructure, and cybersecurity best practices.
- • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, OT/IT convergence, and data analytics/AI platforms.
- • Demonstrated success leading digital transformation initiatives in fast-paced environments.
- • Skilled in vendor and financial management with a focus on cost-effective operations.
- • Strong influencing and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.
