Overview

RELATE.ivity Counseling and Integration Group is seeking independent, licensed clinicians (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, Psychologist) to provide outpatient psychotherapy as part of a Portland-based collaborative group practice. What makes RELATE.ivity different? For starters, our clinicians enjoy a generous revenue split that favors the clinician. We offer a streamlined and integrated set of back-office tools that span EHR, billing and practice analytics to support our clinicians in doing their best work with clients. Therapists who contract with us maintain their autonomy and set their own schedules, with fully remote, hybrid and in-person options available to them. Contracted clinicians will receive client referrals from RELATE.ivity based the practice’s outreach and marketing efforts. For successfully contracted clinicians who build a lasting relationship with us, full time employment may become available at the discretion of the practice.

.Duties

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs.
  • Provide individual, family and couples counseling sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, sandtray, art or dance therapy when appropriate.
  • Implement crisis management protocols to ensure immediate safety for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma-related distress.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and gender issues counseling tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
  • Refer clients for medication evaluation and medication management when necessary.
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and documentation of patient care activities with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Engage in clinical research or data collection efforts aimed at improving mental health interventions and patient outcomes.
  • Refer client-adjacent therapy needs to appropriate colleagues within the practice.

Skills

  • Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic psychotherapy, emotions focused couples therapy, EMDR, trauma-focused psychotherapy, experiential psychotherapy, and attachment-focused psychotherapy.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
  • Expertise in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies for diverse populations including children, teens, couples, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those experiencing PTSD or chronic pain.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a strong therapeutic presence.
  • Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans for outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals facing complex issues such as addiction, grief, gender identity concerns, or disabilities requiring special education accommodations.

Requirements

Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited university. Active Oregon licensure in good standing, LMFT, LPC, LCSW or Licensed Psychologist. Ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience treating patients post licensure with active professional liability insurance. If remote, a private office space to deliver telehealth services that is compliant with regulations. Strong clinical documentation skills and professional ethics. This practice uses HIPPA compliant AI tools to ensure document compliance with payer billing standards. Contracted clinicians will be expected to utilizethese tools during session (they make the job easier and ensure that we all get paid).

Attendance at monthly practice meetings will be encouraged. We will provide organic hummus and veggies...or donuts if that's your style.
