Infusion Rn 3-4 Days A Week

Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a part-time infusion nurse Monday through Friday, and be available to work at least one Saturday a month. Must be excellent at IV skills.

A Rejuvenate Infusion Nurse is a licensed clinician who provides direct patient care in our clinic to ensure patient safety and well-being during treatments and injections. Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Nurse Practitioner.

Job Duties:

·        Open the clinic, clean, sanitize and prepare laboratory, pharmaceuticals, and supplies.

·        Greet and check in client at front desk when receptionist not available.

·        Check client’s health history and vitals. Verify patient intake form, HIPPA form, and consent forms have been completed.

·        Confirm treatment client is to receive

·        Create new IV treatment record form in client’s chart

·        Prep IV bag or line, depending on scheduled IV treatment protocol

·        Prep and administer IM injection

·        Place catheter, start IV infusion as per written protocols

·        Remove IV from client as per written protocols

·        Monitor client per treatment protocol, taking necessary vital signs and recording them in treatment record     

·        Change IV bags as necessary, maintain clean safe lines

·        Document in client’s chart during treatment and finalize charting in EMR

·        Relay follow-up scheduling, supplement recommendations, any accrued costs, etc. to front desk and make any copies or transactions as needed

·        Check client out if receptionist not available including collecting payment for their services, offer to schedule or make changes to their next appointment, begin a membership, etc.

·        Clean and sanitize client area after each client leaves. Restock when necessary.

·        Perform closing procedures including locking laboratory cabinets. Clean, sanitize and stock laboratory, restroom and break room being sure to check off and initial cleaning schedule

·        Clean and sanitize reception area and waiting room if no receptionist.

·        Lock premises upon departure.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and at least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse
• Strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
• Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Active Washington state RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Reliable transportation
• Know and follow the company’s policies and procedures
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
• Applicant MUST have current intermediate IV skills

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency in patient care standards required for safe delivery of services and infusion skill sets applicable to clinic procedures and service needs. Advanced certification and training as applicable.

·        Implement physicians’ orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.

·        Basic knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications with the ability to apply knowledge in the effective use of nursing technology tools to communicate and document care provided.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing as granted by an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nursing degree/diploma with IV therapy experience.

Job Administrative Standards

·        No guaranteed hours or benefits other than state defined Sick Leave

·        Breaks will be taken according to Washington State Department of L & I. Any breaks not taken must be approved by the owner/manager.

·        No overtime is allowed without owner/manager permission/request

·        Clock-in is allowed for 15 min before shift and up to 30 min after shift if required due to workload.
