Inside Sales Representative


Position Summary

Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating sales, maintaining customer relationships, preparing quotes, processing orders, and providing exceptional service to contractors, builders, distributors, and retail customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding plywood products, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare accurate quotes, bids, and sales orders.
  • Process customer orders and coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Follow up on quotes and outstanding opportunities to close sales.
  • Resolve customer concerns and provide solutions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain customer records and sales activities within the company CRM system.
  • Stay informed on product specifications, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; AS or BS degree preferred.
  • 2 years of inside sales, customer service, or building materials industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of plywood, lumber, wood products, or construction materials is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.

Salary : $52,000 - $55,000
