Registered Nurse (RN) – IV Therapy & Patient Intake

Reintegration Wellness is seeking an experienced, personable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing integrative and functional medicine practice in Covington.

We are looking for someone who is clinically confident, genuinely good with people, and particularly skilled at IV placement and injections. This role combines hands-on nursing care with patient intake and is an important part of creating the thoughtful, personalized experience we want every patient to have from the moment they walk through our doors.

We are open to hiring one full-time RN or two part-time RNs depending on experience, availability, and fit.

What You’ll Do

• Perform patient intake, including medical history, vital signs, medication and supplement review, and documentation
• Start, administer, and monitor IV infusions as ordered by the provider
• Perform IM and subcutaneous injections as ordered
• Prepare patients for appointments and assist with clinical flow throughout the practice
• Monitor patients during IV therapy and respond appropriately to patient needs or reactions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Prepare and maintain IV and injection supplies and treatment areas
• Follow appropriate infection-control, medication-safety, and clinical protocols
• Provide patients with clear, compassionate education regarding their treatment and aftercare
• Communicate closely with the provider and other team members to ensure coordinated, individualized care
• Help create a calm, welcoming and professional environment for patients receiving care

Who We’re Looking For

The right person for this position isn't simply someone who can start an IV. We are looking for the nurse everyone calls when they have a difficult stick.

You should be comfortable and confident with:

• IV insertion and venipuncture
• IM and subcutaneous injections
• Patient assessment and intake
• Monitoring patients receiving IV therapy
• Recognizing and responding appropriately to adverse reactions
• Working independently while collaborating closely with a provider
• Creating an excellent patient experience, particularly for patients who may be anxious, overwhelmed, or navigating complex health concerns

Experience in IV therapy, infusion nursing, emergency medicine, critical care, functional/integrative medicine, wellness, outpatient care, or similar settings is especially valuable.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills
• Experience administering injections
• Excellent patient assessment and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation
• Professional, dependable, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to work comfortably in a smaller, growing medical practice where teamwork matters

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
