Compensation Range
$57,300.00 - $81,870.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. Responsibilities
- Performs daily research and analysis of inconsistent data and discrepancies on underwriting applications and/or post issue policies identified by various internal and external sources.
- Communication with external/internal parties involved in billing activities, application and policy administration processes via phone, email and written correspondence. Process and timely handling of internal and external client requests including but not limited to verifying and understanding requests, answering questions and assistance via any communication source. Escalate to Management Team and Underwriting as appropriate.
- Conducts internal audits various support functions ensuring department quality by monitoring adherence to guidelines related to MIB, OFAC, and other required state and federal rules and regulations related to privacy in addition to compliance with department’s policies/procedures and compliance with legal regulations as assigned.
- Support and monitor the EFAC processes to include handling failures, resolving client transmission errors and escalation to EFAC or external Vendor Development team as appropriate.
- Participates and leads as appropriate Training, UAT and process efficiencies related activities for Support Services Team. Assists with the updates to the Support Services Manual.
- Assists and collaborates with the Support Services and Underwriting management team in complex special projects related to all aspects of ceded business through compilation of data to facilitate research and resolution of issues escalated for management handling.
- Assists Sr Analyst , Retro Analyst and Manager with department workload and responsibilities and serves as back-up to Sr Analyst or Retro Analyst in their absence as appropriate. May include but not limited to handling complex retention and jumbo notification checks to mitigate RGA’s over exposure on individual risks and monitoring SLAs and treaty adherence within established guidelines associated with new business processing.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience (minimum 8 years)
- 2-5 years experience in insurance, reinsurance or financial services
- Basic Word, Excel and SQL/Query skills
- Ability to resolve most questions/problems and escalate only the most complex issues to higher levels
- Must be flexible and adaptive to change
- Intermediate oral and written communication and organization skills
- Takes initiative and is accountable
- Competent ability to comprehend and interpret insurance and contract documents
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

- Intermediate investigative, analytical and problem solving skills

- Progress towards FMLI or other relevant professional accreditation
- Intermediate Excel and SQL/Query skills
