Job Overview
Reino Magico Child Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director to support our early childhood education centers. As a vital member of our leadership team, you'll collaborate with our Center Director to drive excellence in program quality, staff performance, and center operations.
This critical role will see you maintain a structured, nurturing environment for our young students, while supporting staff, managing administrative tasks, and building strong relationships with families.
We're looking for a strong leader who is organized, proactive, and seeking growth opportunities to take on a Director-level role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lead Teacher, Educational Coordinator, or Assistant Director who is ready to grow into a Center Director role.
Duties
- Assume leadership in the Director’s absence, driving the smooth operation of our centers
- Supervise, coach, and empower our teaching staff to deliver exceptional performance
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with key regulations and standards, guaranteeing a safe and healthy environment for our students
- Participate in the enrollment process, lead tours, and foster strong family relationships
- Manage staff schedules, maintain ideal classroom ratios, and optimize resource allocation
- Oversee the management of billing, tuition collection, and our enrollment/booking systems
- Accurately record and track data, and collaborate on administrative tasks
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work culture
Requirements
- At least 1 year of leadership experience (Lead Teacher or higher)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong knowledge of NJ licensing regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to lead staff, stay organized, and multitask effectively
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a licensed child care center
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Experience with tuition billing, enrollment management, or child care software systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills'
- Possess a Director’s Credential or be willing to obtain one
- Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Drive
- CPR/First Aid Certification
