Business Development Representative BDR Job Description
Summary:
Business Development Representatives (BDR) work hand in hand with customers and Service Advisors to ensure vehicles are maintained and safely operatable. This position is responsible for scheduling appointments and creating Repair Orders while maintaining an efficient and achievable shop schedule.
Reports To: Service Manager
Job Duties:
• Greet customers and receive payment, explain vehicle reports and answer any questions the customer may have.
• Schedule service appointments including first appointments, special order parts appointments, and warranty appointments as well as any other customer-concern appointments.
• Create Repair Orders and communicate with Service Advisor.
• Work with Sales team to recommend vehicle appraisals at the time of service to grow sales.
• Other duties as assigned.
Exemption Status:
Business Development Representative (BDR) is a non-exempt position. You are required by
Federal and State Law and by Reineke Family Dealerships to keep an accurate record of all
hours you work each day. Failure to comply with this requirement can result in disciplinary
action up to and including termination.
The dealership is an “at-will” employer, meaning that your employment has no specific term,
and that the employment relationship may be terminated at any time at the will of either party on
notice to the other. Nothing contained in your commission (compensation/pay) plan should be
understood to alter the nature of the at-will employment relationship or create a contract of
employment for a specific term.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Friendly and outgoing personality, willingness to put the customer first
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• 1 year(s) of customer service or related work experience
