Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing friendly and professional service to make them feel at home
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure smooth flow of guests and timely seating
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations or general questions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas to uphold high standards of guest presentation
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors
- Support other restaurant operations as needed, including basic food service tasks or guest assistance during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host/Hostess or in food service roles within a restaurant environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservation management and check processing
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in guest services and guest relations
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and hospitality standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette and guest interaction skills to foster welcoming guest relations
