Busser/Food Runner

Job Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Busser/Food Runner, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this vital role, you will support the front-of-house operations by ensuring tables are promptly cleared, reset, and maintained for optimal guest comfort. You will also assist in delivering food swiftly and accurately from the kitchen to our guests’ tables, contributing to a seamless and enjoyable dining atmosphere. Duties

• Clear and clean tables efficiently, ensuring a spotless dining area for incoming guests
• Reset tables quickly with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments to prepare for new diners
• Assist servers by delivering food orders from the kitchen to guest tables accurately and promptly
• Support food safety standards by handling dishes and food items with proper hygiene practices
• Carry heavy trays or food containers safely using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
• Maintain cleanliness in service areas, including sweeping floors and sanitizing surfaces regularly
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service delivery
• Provide friendly in-person customer service, addressing guest needs courteously and professionally
• Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders or assist with guest transactions when needed
• Support banquet or special event service by assisting with setup, serving, and cleanup as required

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic food preparation techniques
• Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Knowledge of hospitality standards including guest services and customer communication skills
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Experience in banquet or hotel settings can be advantageous but is not required
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this energetic role
