This position is for a Driver on a skilled team, responsible for ensuring efficient operations within our shop. This position will report to the Shop Manager. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., dump trucks, lowboys, water trucks, flatbeds) to transport materials and heavy equipment
- Haul construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, rollers, and paving machines between job sites
- Load and secure equipment properly using chains, binders, and straps to meet DOT regulations
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery to active construction sites
Duties:
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment, including operating ramps or hydraulic trailers
- Perform basic operation of transported equipment when needed (spotting, positioning, staging)
- Support field crews with material delivery (aggregate, asphalt, concrete, etc.)
- Communicate with foremen and site supervisors to coordinate deliveries
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers
- Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of truck and hauling equipment
- Ensure proper fluid levels, tire condition, and overall vehicle readiness

Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
