The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing parking regulations within a specific site or concentrated area through continuous foot patrol. This role emphasizes visibility, customer interaction, and detailed monitoring of parking activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned parking areas on foot to monitor for violations.
- Issue warning tickets or citations for violations including improper parking, expired meters, and unauthorized use of designated spaces.
- Identify vehicles subject to towing and report accordingly.
- Accurately document violations including time, date, location, and vehicle information.
- Maintain real-time logs and reports of enforcement activity.
- Inspect assigned areas for safety hazards, cleanliness, and compliance with site standards.
- Report malfunctioning equipment, signage issues, or property damage.
- Monitor pedestrian areas to ensure safe vehicle-pedestrian interaction.
- Act as a visible, approachable presence for customer questions and support.
- Assist customers with parking-related inquiries in a professional and respectful manner.
- Escalate complex or confrontational situations to supervisors.
- Immediately report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain consistent communication with Operations Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols and site procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stoop when placing citations or inspecting areas
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, humidity, and sun exposure
- Ability to visually assess surroundings, read license plates, and identify violations at a distance
- Ability to handle light equipment (citation devices, radios, handheld units)
- Fully outdoor, on-foot role
- High visibility position with constant movement
- Typically confined to a single site or smaller geographic area
