Position: DBA with Mem SQL
Location: Irving, NJ, Tampa
Duration: 12 Months
Experience: 05 Years
Work Model: Onsite
Note: Any visa is acceptable except H1B and CPT
* Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MemSQL (SingleStore) database environments
* Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries
* Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
* Perform database capacity planning and scaling for high-volume workloads
* Ensure database security, access control, and compliance standards
* Work closely with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
* Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell, Python, etc.)
* Handle production support, incidents, and root cause analysis
* Maintain documentation and operational runbooks
Required Skills:
* 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator
* Strong hands-on experience with MemSQL / SingleStore
* Expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization
* Experience with distributed and in-memory databases
* Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
* Experience with backup, restore, HA, and DR strategies
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
* Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Nice to Have:
* Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL / NoSQL databases
* Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines
* Exposure to real-time analytics or big data platforms
