What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hazmat Tanker Driver position at Reid Transport?
Tanker Driver
Monday through Friday work, We provide a dedicated truck, Home daily, Get loaded in Charleston and deliver to regional area
Duties:
- Operate and drive tanker trucks to transport liquids to designated locations
- Load and unload tanker trucks using appropriate equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while handling hazardous materials
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (tanker endorsement and hazmat required)
- driver or similar role
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures for transporting hazardous materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
