Under the supervision of Radiation Oncology Supervisor/Manager and to Oncology Services Management, the Radiation Therapist administers radiation therapy treatmentsper physicians' orders and according to Radiation Oncology Department policies and procedures.

Overview of Responsibilities
- The radiation therapist demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and competencynecessary to administer radiation therapy treatments and provide care appropriate tothe age-specific needs of the patients served including pediatric, adult, and geriatricpatients.
- The radiation therapist considers the whole patient including safety, comfort, age ofpatient, spiritual, cultural, and religious practices, emotional needs/barriers, desireand motivation, physical and or cognitive limitations and language barriers in theimplementation of care.
- Follows radiation safety policies and guidelines.
- Takes responsibility for personal radiation safety and exposure monitoring.
- Appropriately uses radiation protection devices.
- Follows safety policies and precautions for the use of Cerrobend alloy.
- Follows hot lab safety and security requirements.
- Demonstrates understanding of Code Red responsibilities.
- Follows infection control policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates awareness of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and theirsignificance.
- Follows Radiation Therapy safety policies and procedures.
- Operates equipment in a safe manner to prevent injuries to personnel and patients
Education/Experience
Licensure: Current Indiana Radiation Therapist licensure.
Certifications: Current registration in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). BLS Certified.

Day Shift. Monday -Friday 730a-4p and rotating call on weekends 8a-4pWhat We Offer
