Risk Manager / Patient Safety Officer – Critical Access Hospital (Mountain Community, SoCal)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A small, community-focused Critical Access Hospital in a Southern California mountain town is seeking a hands-on Risk Manager / Patient Safety Officer to lead risk and patient safety for the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the hospital's Risk Management and Patient Safety programs
Oversee incident/variance reporting and trend analysis
Support survey readiness and accreditation activities
Partner with ED, nursing, quality, and medical staff
Serve as liaison to malpractice carrier and legal resources
Supervise Patient Advocate and collaborate on grievances
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
California RN strongly preferred (high-functioning LVN with strong hospital risk/quality experience may be considered)
3 years of acute care hospital experience
Experience in risk, patient safety, quality, RCA, or peer review
Comfortable working in a small, lean environment (CAH/rural/small community hospital preferred)
Excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills
Must be willing to live full-time in the local mountain community
COMPENSATION
$125,000 – $175,000 annually (DOE)
