Equipment Mechanic – Williston, ND
REIC Rentals is hiring a courteous and detail-oriented Equipment Mechanic for our Williston, ND location. Our ideal candidate has experience working on a wide variety of equipment (both diesel and gasoline), values safety, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As an Equipment Mechanic, you'll primarily work in our shop performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel and gasoline-powered equipment over 10,000 lbs. When equipment returns from the field, you'll inspect it for damage, complete necessary repairs, and perform preventative maintenance to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Occasional field service may be required as needed.

What You'll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gasoline-powered equipment, primarily in the shop with occasional field service as needed.
- Service and operate a variety of equipment over 10,000 lbs.
- Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Accurately identify and order required replacement parts.
- Manage inventory and monitor labor and parts costs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete required service documentation and recordkeeping.
- Evaluate repair costs versus equipment value when making repair decisions.
- Adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position.
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Emergency service calls as needed with a rotating on-call schedule.
What You'll Bring
- Technical repair knowledge across a wide range of equipment.
- Ability to work primarily in the shop with occasional field service.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Clean driving record with no violations within the previous three years.
- Personal hand tools appropriate for general equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. or more multiple times throughout the day.
