What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional II position at Rehoboth Palmer River Elementary School?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participation in a mentor program that focuses on Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS) and Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Supports (SCERTS) approaches
Work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomes
Maintain data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goals
Assume classroom responsibilities in absence of teacher
Participation in daily duties, as assigned by teacher(s) within the SCEC site, as well as within general education settings including satellite campuses
Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed, including 1:1 assistance and inclusion opportunities
Provide support to students in community and inclusive settings
Reinforce academic concepts to help students achieve their academic goals
Work with general education staff to support students with inclusion opportunities
