What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Music Teacher position at Rehoboth Christian School?
The Music Teacher is responsible for providing an engaging learning
environment that enables students to develop and achieve their greatest God-given
potential.
Qualifications:
-A commitment to Christian education and Rehoboth Christian School.
-Knowledgeable about music education in the Elementary School setting.
-Have a teaching degree, preferably in Music Education or willing to pursue an
alternative licensure program which would lead to certification.
-Able to relate well to students from K-5 grade.
-Passion for and sensitivity to issues having to do with cross cultural interactions.
-Able to collaborate with staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide developmentally appropriate music instruction to K-5 students.
2. Support a curriculum that focuses on a balanced approach to singing, instrument
playing and creative movement.
3. Collaborate with teachers in connecting music to the classrooms.
4. The music teacher will participate in all faculty meetings, professional development
Terms of Employment: Employed on a 190-day contract with salary and benefits as
approved by the Executive Director. This position is part time at roughly 5 hrs per week
unless combined with other duties.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
