Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their insurance coverage, and schedule appointments efficiently using electronic scheduling system.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate collection of demographic and insurance information.
- Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance authorizations, and handle billing procedures including medical collection tasks.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; respond promptly to patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
- Assist with medical administrative support including filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies.
- Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing documentation accuracy, and ensuring all patient information is correctly entered into EMR/EHR platforms.
- Conduct insurance verification for Medicare and other health plans; process payments and follow up on outstanding balances related to medical billing.
- Utilize computer skills to navigate various EMR systems efficiently while maintaining high levels of clinical confidentiality.
- Chaperone for patients when asked by medical staff.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills for managing patient files, appointment schedules, and documentation review tasks accurately.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks including typing on a keyboard.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
