What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitalist - Part Time & Full Time Opportunities position at Rehabilitation Medical Associates?
Rehabilitation Medical Associates is a private multi-specialty group with 25 years of hospitalist experience.
We are seeking full-time and part-time Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalists with 2 to 3 years’ inpatient hospital experience to provide inpatient care at Encompass Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital’s Framingham satellite.
We need hospitalists with:
- Experience working in an inpatient hospital setting
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable with a team-oriented approach to patient care
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of MA
- Current and active Federal DEA and MA Controlled Substance Registration
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing acute and chronic patient illnesses
- Obtaining complete medical history and performing a physical examination
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and studies
- Formulating and implementing a diagnosis and treatment plan
- Seeking consultation or referral as necessary
- Working closely with other members of the rehab team to help our patients achieve their goals
- Completing discharge summaries that identify outstanding issues and include plans for follow-up
