It is our mission at Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia, to keep all of our vulnerable residents safe! We are seeking a dedicated, and qualified Activities Director! The ideal applicant will be hardworking, reliable, detail-oriented, dynamic, and high-motivated.
This position will be responsible for planning and providing activities that support and maintain the resident's quality of life, addressing the resident's social, physical, spiritual and mental health. Provides supportive activities in a comfortable environment to residents. The ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service, and a desire to serve seniors.
Location: Tifton, GA
Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)
Ensure residents are assisted with group activities as needed;
Plan and provide individual stimulation for bed/room-bound residents;
Ensure that activity supplies and equipment are available;
Develop the monthly activity calendar and newsletter;
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent;
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed;
Valid CNA certification is strongly preferred;
Ability to meet all health requirements, including a drug screen.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
Good verbal communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities, and in enlisting the support of facility team members for activity programming.
Must have a valid state driver's license.
