As a Maintenance Assistant, you are instrumental in ensuring the physical aspects of the facility are in proper working order. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Hampton by performing repair tasks throughout the facility, assisting with scheduling of outside contractors for extensive repairs, monitoring facility equipment and facility system maintenance schedules, and performing routine maintenance on facility equipment and systems. In addition, you will be utilized as a Driver to transport residents to appointments, etc. as needed. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:
As a minimum, a High school Diploma or equivalent. Prior Maintenance Assistant experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable. An unencumbered Driver's License or other motor vehicle operator license as required by the State of Iowa. All drivers are required by state law to have a Class D Chauffeur License or a Class C Commercial License. Prior Driver experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
