- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy.
- Deliver specialized addiction counseling and mental health counseling tailored to diverse populations, including children, families, and adults.
- Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention techniques, ensuring client safety and stabilization.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records following HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including case management, social work, and medical professionals, to support holistic recovery efforts.
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups on topics like substance use disorders, PTSD care, and behavior management strategies while adhering to CPT coding for billing purposes. Skills

- Expertise in motivational interviewing to motivate clients toward positive behavioral change.
- Experience with child & family counseling, home & community care programs, hospital settings, and crisis management environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), HIPAA compliance, and medical records management.
- Ability to perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and case management with sensitivity to mental health conditions like PTSD.
- Skilled in research methods related to behavioral health outcomes and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
