With a dedicated outpatient therapy space within the facility, we serve both residents and non-residents, supporting recovery, functional mobility, and safe transitions to lower levels of care or return to home.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Mission Pines Nursing & Rehab Center. The Speech Therapist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat adults and geriatric patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, delivering skilled therapeutic interventions, and documenting services in compliance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. The SLP will collaborate closely with nursing, physicians, and therapy team members to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
The role also includes participation in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge planning, and providing education to patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and long-term success.

Qualifications
• Proficient in evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders in adult and geriatric populations
• Experience developing and implementing individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
• Strong documentation skills with ability to demonstrate medical necessity and skilled intervention (CMS/Medicare compliant)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to track patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Knowledge of skilled nursing facility (SNF) and outpatient rehab settings preferred
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Holds or eligible for a current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Nevada
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience with cognitive therapy and dysphagia management strongly preferred
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on improving ADLs, safety, and independence
