About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Clinic Director to lead a single clinic and take ownership of core business and performance outcomes. The Clinic Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinic operations, including staff management, scheduling, budgeting, and patient flow. This role is ideal for individuals who are ready to develop and demonstrate leadership skills while driving clinic growth and operational excellence. The Clinic Director will set annual goals, manage budgets, and implement strategies to improve clinic profitability and patient satisfaction. By fostering a positive clinic culture, resolving operational challenges, and facilitating effective communication among team members, the Clinic Director ensures the clinic operates efficiently and meets organizational objectives. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on clinical performance and team development, serving as a foundation for future leadership growth within the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate clinic growth, drive clinic processes, and adjust approach based on evolving inputs (e.g., staffing mix, DUPV, specialties offered)
- Resolve issues in scheduling and/or documentation of clinician or support staffing
- Set annual clinic goals and budget
- Remove roadblocks and obstacles from personal and team goal attainment
- Facilitate referral relationships while including team members as growth opportunities
- Communicate with Front Office and Business Development teams about referral trends or gaps
- Review financial reporting and make real-time corrective adjustments (e.g., bad debt, no-shows)
- Establish employee-friendly clinic culture through 1:1 and team meetings to motivate, engage, and grow staff
- Reinforce policies and celebrate team wins
- Escalate issues promptly and use available tools (dashboards, EHR) to determine proper course of action
- Make staffing decisions based on business input
Skills & Qualifications
- Has a list of strong referral sources within the community, preferred
- Valid state licensure as a clinician (PT, OT, PTA, OTA)
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy, or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant/Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- CPR certification and any other relevant certifications as required by state regulations
- Strong clinical skills with experience in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric physical therapy (preferred)
