This role covers our West Territory, primarily serving Rehab 2 Perform's Northern Virginia locations.
The Physician Liaison is a vital member of the Rehab 2 Perform growth team. This role combines strategic medical outreach and relationship-building to support the expansion of our physical therapy and sports rehab services. You'll serve as the main connector between local medical providers, community stakeholders, and R2P locations: helping ensure awareness, education, and consistent referrals to our high-performance, movement-based model.
You will play a critical role in physician engagement, referral strategy, and brand presence within the region. This position requires a proactive, highly relational individual who is confident navigating medical practices, community organizations, and performance-focused networks.This is a field-based, self-directed role. You build and manage your own territory route and follow-up cadence with minimal daily oversight.
Core Responsibilities
Medical Provider Engagement & Education
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers in the region.
- Conduct in-person visits, presentations, lunch-and-learns, and follow-ups with referring practices to ensure consistent communication and brand alignment.
- Educate medical professionals on Rehab 2 Perform’s unique model, services, and outcomes.
- Maintain a consistent, self-managed weekly visit schedule across the assigned territory, tracked and logged in Badger Mapping and/or other CRM software
Referral Strategy & Performance
- Collaborate with Site Directors and the CMO to develop targeted referral strategies aligned with growth goals.
- Monitor referral patterns and metrics using CRM tools, identifying trends and opportunities to enhance patient volume and care coordination.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and external referral partners to ensure a smooth transition of care.
- Performance against referral and initial evaluation (IE) growth targets directly impacts quarterly bonus eligibility.
Community Engagement & Brand Representation
- Build partnerships within R2P’s six marketing pillars: Medical, Business, Fitness, High School, Youth Sports, and Military.
- Represent R2P at events such as health fairs, athletic tournaments, school engagements, and workshops.
- Communicate R2P’s mission and services effectively across all levels of community and provider interaction.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Contribute to the development of monthly outreach and engagement plans in collaboration with the CMO.
- Track outreach activities, visits, and referral impacts; provide weekly updates to leadership and participate in strategy reviews.
- Adjust outreach based on feedback, analytics, and regional performance.
- Requires reliable transportation and daily travel throughout the assigned territory. Occasional evening or weekend events.
Compensation
- Salary paid semi-monthly, plus quarterly performance bonus tiered on patient and referral growth targets (first bonus review at 6 months)
- 401(k) with company match up to 4%, eligible after 3 months
- $325/month medical premium stipend

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Health Sciences, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
1 years of experience in physician relations, medical sales, healthcare outreach, or marketing (preferably in physical therapy, orthopedics, or wellness/performance healthcare).
Experience both developing new referral relationships and maintaining/growing an established territory."
Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to connect with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
- Proficient in CRM/data tracking tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with BadgerMapping and/or other Route Tracking Applications
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in the field.
- Confident public speaker and storyteller with a passion for movement, wellness, and recovery.
- Flexible availability to attend occasional evening or weekend events.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
