Role Description:
- The Civil Structural Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Baton Rouge, LA.
- This role involves performing civil and structural engineering design, including the development of plans, calculations, and specifications for a variety of structures and infrastructure projects.
- The engineer will conduct structural analysis, review designs for compliance with codes and standards, and collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues.
- Daily responsibilities include coordinating with other disciplines, supporting project management activities such as scheduling and documentation, and participating in site visits or inspections as needed.
- The role also includes preparing technical reports, communicating with clients and stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply core principles to practical projects.
- Proficiency in Structural Engineering and Structural Analysis, including the use of relevant software tools and adherence to applicable codes.
- Experience with Project Management, including planning, coordination, and documentation of engineering activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution; advanced degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards, and to perform field assessments when required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and safety considerations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with industry-standard design and analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, or similar) and CAD tools.
- Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
