What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Specialist I/II position at Regulated Companies?
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Perform high stress pipe welding and other duties involved with construction, maintenance and repair of company facilities in compliance with company standards as well as state and federal regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Welding Specialist I: ($30.70 - $38.38/hour)
Associate degree in a related field or four years related welding experience.
Welding Specialist II: ($35.32 - $44.15 hour)
Associate degree in a related field or four years related welding experience; and
Before advancement to Welding Specialist II, employee must have two years certified pipeline welding experience; and
Complete the Company approved Master Welder Course.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must pass company welding certification test within the first three months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience in pipeline welding preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform welding and assist in the construction and maintenance of facilities as required.
Assist and provide expertise to operations and maintenance personnel as necessary to maximize team productivity.
Arrange and account for materials for assigned projects.
Follow safety rules and help ensure safe working conditions and equipment.
Assist with maintaining third party contacts involved with respective projects and promote good public relations.
Assist with qualifying and testing of company and/or contract welders to provide for a capable, skilled staff to meet the specified code requirements.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
