Mechanic

Safely perform maintenance on all compressor station equipment including reciprocating engines and compressors, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors. Responds to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.  Nothing in this job summary restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

• Associate degree in diesel, auto technology or equivalent industrial maintenance program or equivalent work experience.
• Requires strong mechanical, electronic, computer, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.
• Possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license and meet applicable DOT mandated commercial driver requirements (i.e. medical card).

• Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
• Must be legally authorized to work in United States, no sponsorships considered.
• Subject to the company DOT substance abuse testing program
• Subject to pre-employment background check and drug testing.
• Frequent travel with overnight stays.
• Must pass all requirements to become DOT operator qualified in assigned tasks.
• Must be able to perform all the essential functions required of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Repair and maintain compressor station equipment and select or recommend the most appropriate course of action to restore the desired performance of the equipment being repaired. 
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance analysis on company gas compressor units.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Tools and utility truck provided.

Journeyman Rate: $45.07
