What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Specialist I/II position at Regulated Companies?
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Constructs, maintains, and repairs company facilities in compliance with company standards as well as state and federal regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Construction Specialist I: ($27.46 - $34.32)
A working knowledge of pipeline construction and construction equipment operations at a level normally acquired through the completion of an associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Construction Specialist II: ($30.70 - $38.38)
A working knowledge of pipeline construction and construction equipment operations at a level normally acquired through the completion of an associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; and
Two years of experience as a Construction Specialist I or equivalent pipeline construction experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background check.
Requires travel: (75%) with overnight stays.
Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Subject to the Company’s DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program.
Pass required tests for Operator Qualification tasks at assigned location.
Obtain and maintain 40-hour asbestos training.
Possess or acquire valid crane operator certification.
Obtain forklift operator certification if required.
Construction Specialist II also requires:
Possess and maintain a valid commercial motor vehicle driver's license with necessary endorsements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Construction Specialist I:
Able to operate a skid steer, backhoe and excavator at a proficient level.
Possess and maintain a valid commercial motor vehicle driver’s license with necessary endorsements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists operations and maintenance personnel in constructing, maintaining, and repairing company facilities.
Operates all equipment needed to perform construction, maintenance, and operation activities.
Arranges and accounts for materials through stores availability or by proper procurement methods.
Follows safety rules and helps ensure safe working conditions and equipment.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
