Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our growing outpatient practice.

This role includes a combination of in-person sessions at our Salem office and telehealth appointments. Clinicians maintain a minimum caseload of 20 scheduled client appointments per week while delivering high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based mental health treatment.

Our team handles credentialing, insurance billing, client onboarding, and administrative operations so you can focus on your clinical work rather than the business side of private practice.

Beyond maintaining clinical documentation in TherapyNotes, administrative responsibilities are intentionally minimal.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

• Provide individual and family therapy services as clinically appropriate
• Conduct intake assessments and establish accurate diagnoses
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans
• Deliver ethical, evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, and other mental health challenges
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically appropriate
• Complete discharge planning and ongoing clinical evaluations
• Deliver services in accordance with payer requirements, telehealth regulations, and professional standards

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete all clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner using TherapyNotes
• Maintain progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and required clinical records
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and professional ethical standards
• Follow insurance and practice documentation requirements

Collaboration & Client Care

• Maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and other providers when clinically appropriate
• Support continuity of care through effective communication and scheduling
• Participate in a collegial and collaborative practice environment

Schedule & Flexibility

• You determine your availability, and we build your caseload around it
• Maintain consistency in your schedule to support client success
• Provide a combination of in-person and telehealth sessions
• Manage client scheduling and rescheduling directly when needed
• Enjoy flexibility while maintaining the structure needed for a successful practice

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Massachusetts licensure as an LICSW or LMHC
• Ability to independently diagnose and provide outpatient psychotherapy services
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage an independent caseload
• Comfortable working with diverse client populations and presenting concerns
• Willingness to provide both in-person services in Salem, MA and telehealth services
• Experience with TherapyNotes is preferred but not required
