Job Overview:
The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for managing carrier relationships, coordinating freight movement, and ensuring that all logistics operations run smoothly. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve issues in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will excel in relationship- building, logistics management, and market analysis to optimize freight operations.
Key Responsabilities:
- Carrier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with core carriers, negotiating and securing carriers to ensure efficient freight movement.
- Communication: Maintain continuous and proactive communication with carriers and customers, ensuring a high-quality freight process from start to finish.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any freight-related issues, such as route changes, delays, or other concerns, while keeping all stakeholders informed.
- Data Management: Accurately update and maintain all relevant information in the company’s operating system, ensuring that operations remain organized and efficient.
- Market Analysis: Utilize DAT Power to secure freight capacity, assess current market conditions, and make informed decisions to optimize logistics operations.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in logistics or transportation coordination, with a strong understanding of carrier management and customer service.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with both carriers and customers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think quickly and resolve issues in a fast-pace environment, ensuring that freight operations remain on track.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities, with the capability to manage data entry, scheduling, and issue resolution simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics systems, including DAT Power, and proficiency in Google Office Suite.
- Team Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset, working closely with other departments to ensure successful freight operations.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
