Job Title: Histology Technician
Shift: Evening 5x8-Hour (13:00 - 21:30)

Summary: The Histology Technician (Histotech) prepares and processes tissue specimens for microscopic examination by pathologists. This role involves embedding, sectioning, staining, and labeling tissue samples while adhering to laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory standards. The Histotech ensures accurate and high-quality slides to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, accession, and log tissue specimens accurately into the laboratory information system.
- Prepare tissue samples using fixation, dehydration, clearing, embedding, and microtomy techniques.
- Section tissue samples with a microtome and mount sections on slides for staining.
- Perform routine and special histochemical and immunohistochemical staining procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot histology equipment (e.g., microtomes, embedding stations, automated stainers).
Requirements:
- 2 - Year experience Required,
- Travel Experience only with Strong experience and has more than 10 years experience,
- BLS Certification,
- ASCP-HT Certification,
- Associate's Degree in Science

Pay: $49.00 - $53.00 per hour
