Job Title: Cytotechnologist (Cyto Tech)
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
13 Weeks contract
Summary: The Cytotechnologist is responsible for the preparation, screening, and evaluation of cytologic specimens to detect evidence of cancer, inflammatory diseases, infections, and other abnormal cellular changes. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with pathologists and laboratory staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, stain, and mount cytologic specimens (e.g., Pap smears, body fluids, fine needle aspirations).
- Microscopically examine slides to identify abnormal or malignant cells.
- Accurately record and classify cellular findings according to established diagnostic categories.
- Refer abnormal or suspicious cases to a pathologist for final diagnosis.
- Maintain quality assurance and control standards in accordance with laboratory and regulatory requirements (e.g., CAP, CLIA, OSHA).
- Assist with specimen collection and processing as needed.
Requirements:
- 1 - Year experience Required,
- EPIC charting experience required,
- CT (ASCP) Required,
- BLS Certification.

Pay: $58.00 - $62.00 per hour
