How you will make an impact as a Cook

    Responsible for the correct and hygienic preparation and serving of food.

    Responsible for maintaining and facilitating clean and hygienic work practices

    Preparation, serving, presentation, and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with the Food Safety Program. (FSP)

    Prevent cross-contamination and properly prepare food to meet special dietary requirements, such as gluten and dairy intolerances, allergies and preferences.

    Liaise with Assist the Chef and/or Chef Manager to liaise with, residents and significant others for menu planning, food preparation and special occasions.

What you will bring to the role

    Experience in Aged Care (preferred)

    Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Cook in Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary

    Understanding of special dietary needs 

    Exceptional customer service mindset

    Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
