What are the responsibilities and job description for the English Teacher position at Regis Jesuit High School?
Regis Jesuit High School is seeking an English Teacher to begin in the 2023 - 2024 school year. This position will be placed on the Faculty Salary Scale, based on education level and years of experience (scale begins at BA, Tier 1: $43,505 to MA45, Tier 30: $97,064). We give 1:1 credit for the first ten years of teaching and 1:2 for years over ten, with no maximum until Tier 30. Full benefits are available. Expectations Include:
- Experience teaching 9th and 10th grade-level classes; ability to teach AP Language/American Lit a plus
- A bachelor’s degree in the subject area (MA preferred)
- Colorado teaching license or desire to obtain license or alternative license
- Teaching 5 out of 7 class periods per two day cycle (Block Scheduling)
- Attending assemblies, prayer services, masses, service opportunities
- Modeling Christian values and contributing to forming student values
- Commitment to the life of the school outside the classroom through coaching, advising, and moderating extra-curricular programs
